KITA Hosts Final Demo Day for ‘BMW Testbed with Korean Innovation’ Program

The Korea International Trade Association (KITA), in collaboration with BMW Group Korea, the Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy & Innovation, and FuturePlay, held the final performance showcase of the “BMW Testbed with Korean Innovation” program on the 26th.

The program was designed to provide domestic innovative startups with real-world technology validation opportunities, while supporting business collaboration and commercialization with BMW Group Korea. It also aimed to explore potential pathways for global market expansion.

Over a two month period, seven Korean startups participated in comprehensive technical verification processes, including compatibility testing with BMW Group Korea’s internal systems, integration of additional development requirements, and generation of test data aligned with predefined performance objectives.

During the final presentation event, the participating startups Apptest AI, Data Marketing Korea, WorksCombine, IMAS, iCar, EPIKAR, and Madras Check shared the outcomes and key achievements from their technology proof of concept projects.

According to KITA, startups demonstrating outstanding validation results may proceed to in depth discussions with BMW Group Korea, potentially leading to official partnership agreements. Selected companies may also be granted opportunities to explore business collaboration with BMW headquarters in Germany.

Park Pil-jae, Head of the Startup Global Support Division at KITA, stated,

“The Association will continue to provide strong and sustained support to help Korean startups gain recognition for their technological excellence and successfully expand into the global market.”
