EPIKAR Files Patent for AI Based ‘Efficient Vehicle Maintenance’ System

EPIKAR (CEO Han Bosuk) announced on the 23rd that it has filed a patent for an AI-based after-sales (A/S) management system designed to significantly reduce vehicle maintenance time at automotive service centers.

Currently, most vehicle maintenance processes operate under a push-based workflow, in which each step proceeds only after the previous task performed by a technician is completed. This structure often leads to frequent bottlenecks between processes, resulting in operational inefficiencies.

In contrast, EPIKAR has adopted a pull-based approach, leveraging machine learning and deep learning models to accurately predict processing time for each maintenance stage. By doing so, the system effectively eliminates bottlenecks inherent in traditional workflows and improves overall operational efficiency.

The newly filed patent also enables calculation of labor costs, parts costs, and estimated completion times for each process, supporting more efficient service center operations.

Furthermore, the system allows service centers to provide customers with more accurate information regarding total time and cost from vehicle check-in to delivery. Real-time visibility into each maintenance stage also enhances customer transparency and satisfaction.
