(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Kwon Hye-jin – The Korea International Trade Association
(KITA) held a final demo day on the 26th to showcase the results of the "BMW Testbed
with Korean Innovation" program, jointly conducted with BMW Group Korea, Gyeonggi
Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (CCEI), and FuturePlay.
The program was designed to offer domestic innovative startups opportunities for
technical proof-of-concept (PoC), as well as support for potential commercialization with
BMW Group Korea and the possibility of global expansion. Over approximately two
months, seven domestic startups conducted technology verifications including
compatibility with BMW Group Korea's internal systems, integration of additional
development requirements, and output of test data based on specific goals.
During the demo day, the seven participating startups — Apptest AI, Data Marketing
Korea, Works Combine, iMAS, Aicar, Epikar, and Madras Check — presented the outcomes
of their technology validation projects.
According to KITA, startups with excellent PoC results may have the opportunity to
continue with business collaboration as official partners of BMW Group Korea or engage in
discussions with BMW’s global headquarters in Germany for potential partnerships.
Park Pil-jae, Head of KITA's Startup Global Support Office, said, “KITA will continue to
actively support domestic startups in gaining recognition for their technological excellence
and expanding onto the global stage.”
