Epikar, a company driving digital innovation in automotive sales and distribution, announced on the
20th that it has been selected for the 2023 Google for Startups Cloud Credit Program.
This program supports startups that have received Series A investment and passed Google’s
rigorous screening process. Selected companies receive up to $100,000 in Google Cloud credits in
the first year, and in the second year, 20% of their Google Cloud usage fees are supported, up to
another $100,000.
Startups chosen for the program can use the credits to apply Google Cloud in areas such as
artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, and can also develop and scale services using
Google Cloud infrastructure. In addition, Google provides mentoring in technical training, go-to-
market strategy, and other areas based on the needs of each startup.
Epikar stores data collected from vehicles on Google Cloud. The accumulated data is analyzed to
extract useful information for customers, which is then used to generate statistics and apply AI
technology to enhance service quality.
Han Bosuk, CEO of Epikar, said, “Since we’re currently preparing for global expansion, Google’s
support will be a tremendous boost. We plan to fully leverage Google Cloud and mentoring to
enhance Epikar’s solutions and deliver greater value to our customers.”
Epikar is a startup that provides digital solutions for essential tasks in the automotive sales process,
such as test drives and after-sales service. By digitizing aspects of what is typically a face-to-face
process, the company aims to reduce operational costs for dealerships. BMW Korea is one of
Epikar’s major clients, having implemented Epikar’s mobile service for the entire test-drive
reservation process across more than 70 showrooms nationwide.
